A complete web presence for VrIJland, the green pavilion on Strand IJburg: a cultural and educational beach venue where the IJburg community comes together to create, learn and unwind.

I designed and built the site to capture the easy, open spirit of the place — somewhere that welcomes kids chasing adventure, teenagers looking for a beach hangout, and makers and neighbours who want a relaxed home for culture and connection. The visual language leans into the pavilion's natural, sun-and-sand atmosphere: warm imagery, generous space and a calm, confident layout that lets the place speak for itself.

Built on WordPress and Elementor, the site brings the pavilion's full programme to life with a live events agenda powered by The Events Calendar and RSVP integration, so visitors can browse what's happening on the beach and sign up to join in directly. Alongside the programme, I structured clear sections for the venue's story, its community and volunteer call-outs, and a dedicated rental flow for birthdays, weddings and neighbourhood initiatives — each with its own purpose-built contact path.

The result is a site that works as the digital front door of VrIJland: lightweight, easy to navigate, and built to grow with each new season on the strand.
