The SET-IJBURG Rebrand: A New Digital & Visual Identity
Web Design
Logo Design
This project was a comprehensive digital transformation for SET-IJBURG. It began with a foundational challenge: the community center's vibrant, human-centric energy was not reflected in its digital presence. The solution was not just a website refresh, but a complete visual rebrand paired with a strategic functional overhaul
1. The Core Challenge
SET-IJBURG, as the "Living Room of the Neighborhood," was bursting with life, but its online "front door" felt dated, impersonal, and difficult to navigate. We needed to bridge the gap between the warm, "gezellig" physical space and its digital counterpart.
2. The Solution Part 1: Forging a New Visual Identity (The Rebrand)
Before building the house, we designed the key. The old identity didn't match the organization's forward-thinking and professional approach.
The New Logo: A new, modern, and symbolic logo was created. The abstract, geometric "K" (veya "S"?) mark—reminiscent of a flower, a hub, or connecting paths—represents community, connection, and growth.
The Palette: A professional and calming teal color was chosen as the primary brand color, moving away from fragmented visuals to create a unified, trustworthy, and recognizable identity across all platforms.

B. The Soul of the Site: The Human Touch (New "Who Works Here" Section)
To answer the visitor's question, "Who is behind all this?", the "Wie zijn wij" (Who We Are) section was completely redesigned.
This section is more than just a list of names; it gives a "human face" to the organization by featuring the stories and roles of the coordinators, the core team, and the volunteers.
This transparency builds an immediate bond of trust and sincerity ("gezelligheid") with visitors, even in a digital space.

3. The Outcome
The redesigned SET-IJBURG.NL is no longer just a ".nl" address; it is a true digital reflection of the neighborhood.
The site now successfully extends the same inviting and warm ("gezellig") brand language, which we first established in the Buurt Diner poster, into the digital experience.
With the new event system, participation and engagement are poised to increase significantly.
The new team page reinforces the organization's community bond, sending a clear message to every visitor: "There are real people here."
